I was so excited when Paypal added the Philippines in its list of countries even if we were only allowed to send money back then. Then, as time passed by, they allowed us to accept payments as well. However, withdrawing your money from Paypal can only be done either through a Unionbank EON debit card or too your credit card and there was a fixed $5.00 fee per transaction. While that sucks, I was able to live with it.

Enter 2008 and now Paypal has finally raised the bar higher for Philippine Paypal users. Now, withdrawing funds to any local bank is possible and with very very very minimal charges - free if you’re transferring Php7,000 or higher and only P50.00 if lower than that. I enrolled my account immediately and tried withdrawing what I have in my Paypal account to my bank account. They say it should take 5 to 7 business days.
